Madhubani Paintings
Madhubani paintings originated in the small village of Maithili in Bihar, India. There are three main styles in Madhubani art: Bharni style, Kachni style and Tattoo style. The themes and motifs of Madhubani art come from mythical figures, gods and goddesses, ritual activity, and local flora and fauna.
